Material Matters 2: Colorado Fiber Art June 30 – August 7, 2026

Fiber art has been practiced globally for millennia. Traditionally, fiber is taken from plants or animals — cotton from cotton seed pods, linen from flax stems, wool from sheep hair, or silk from the spun cocoons of silkworms. In addition to these traditional materials, synthetic materials such as plastic acrylic are now used. Join us as Western Colorado fiber artists share their love of fabrics, textiles, fibers, yarn, and threads and revel in their magical creations.

The sponsor for this exhibit is Clubb’s Fabric located in Delta, Colorado at 417 Main St. Clubb’s has a long tradition of providing fabrics, sewing supplies and more to the fabric art community on the Western Slope. You will find fabrics of all kinds for your apparel, quilting, craft, costume, home decor, and auto upholstery needs, as well as all the sewing threads and notions to help finish a project.
