Instructor
Mary Gnandt – “I have always enjoyed creating since childhood. Retired from working in the field of mental health, this occupation gave me the financial support to take evening art classes and explore several mediums. In my 30’s I was focused on Fiber Arts creating quilts and wall hangings that were sold in galleries located in Laramie, Wyoming, Alexandrea, Virginia and commissions. Later I concentrated on collage and three dimensional pieces using paper to create story books and sculpture. Most recently, I am creating hand built clay pieces with a focus on birds. I have taught art and have used art as a tool in therapeutic settings. I enjoy sharing techniques that can be mastered with entry level skills while creating artworks that reflect one’s life experiences.”
