Montrose Center for Arts is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization supporting arts in Montrose and on the Western Slope. Memberships help support the work of MCA.
We offer a range of opportunities for members who want to learn about art, gain or enhance a member’s artistic skills, promote art in our community, display art, and experience regional art.
Most of all MCA is a fun place to be! It is a great place to meet new people and enjoy the Main Street Culture of Montrose. It is THE place to foster creativity for Montrose and the Western Slope. Be here—or be a blank canvas!

Gallery & Gift Shop
Display your art in the MCA Gallery and Gift Shop and get promoted locally.
Art In Motion
Art in Motion is an MCA program that partners with local businesses who hang our members’ art in their businesses
Monday Morning Paint
A casual networking event with local artists to practice their craft, share ideas [and cookies], work through art problems, and learn new techniques.
MCA Events
Members may attend most events at MCA including First Fridays’ new show openings every month and Member Only Events.
Inner Canvas Newsletter
Get the inside scoop on upcoming events and opportunities with our weekly newsletter Inner Canvas that highlights upcoming artists, classes and events.
Inner Covers Bookclub
Members may join MCA’s book club – Inner Covers, that focuses on nonfiction books about fine art and artists.
Volunteering Opportunities
Members may volunteer for MCA: greeting guests, helping with events, serving on a committee, designing programming, and/or becoming a board member.
