Babs Pullin
About
Babs working career was in a creative environment, being around artists and creatives nearly every day for over 40 years. This experience has given her the inspiration and motivation to pursue recording her own experiences and stories, whether it be from her family farm in Iowa or where she now lives and plays. She chose photography as her primary means of expression and has moved from traditional film to digital photography (but still uses her Holga camera).
“As a Montrose artist, I am always looking for different ways to use my photography other than just making a standard print. From Cyanotypes to photo transfers and photo grids. My preferred method of printing is pigment inks on a fine watercolor paper.“
Her next art venture is using her photography with a Gelli printing plate and acrylic inks to transfer images, and then making them into something different completely – unique and inspiring. She may also use collaging as a new element to her work.
