Instructor
Chris Bonatti has been practicing art for more than forty years. Her artistic studies include coursework through the Minnesota School of Art correspondence program, Mesa College in Grand Junction, and Colorado State University. More than twenty years ago, she rediscovered her passion for teaching art and has since encouraged students to develop their own creative voice. She previously taught at Pope John Paul II Catholic School in Montrose and currently teaches at PACE.
Raised in Ouray, Colorado, and now living in Montrose, Chris recently embraced exhibiting her own work, debuting with a solo exhibition at the Wright Opera House in Ouray. Working across a variety of media, she views art as her happy place—a space where curiosity, freedom, and self-expression come together. She believes the most meaningful work emerges when she lets go, trusts the creative process, and allows the artwork to lead the way.
