The Montrose Center for Arts is proud to present its first regional juried exhibit showcasing talent from all over Colorado. The artists explore the seven elements of art — line, shape, form, space, value, color and texture — to the fullest extent of their imaginations.
The award ceremony will take place around 6 p.m.
- 1st and 2nd place ribbons will be awarded for each medium (watercolor, acrylic, oils, pottery, wood, photography, mixed media, digital, metal and fiber)
- Best of Show Award – $200
- People’s Choice Award – Ribbon and Gift Certificate will be award at the end of exhibit
Judge: Michelle Curry Wright will judge the exhibit and be on hand to present the awards.
Wright is a writer and painter and has lived in the area for over 40 years. She has experimented with a variety of different mediums (ink, oil pastels, paint, collage) and of subject matter from caricatures and cartoons to landscapes, whimsy and everyday life. She has worked framing art, in gallery sales, has had exhibitions, and is currently working to refine her work as an abstract painter.
Author of two novels, she currently writes bi-weekly health column for the Telluride newspaper and lives in Ridgway with her husband and their Corgi.
