MCA Big Art show coming in Jan 2026

Big Art – The Power of Scale Jan 6th-Feb 14th- 2026

Large scale art is created on a powerful scale, often using unconventional materials, large canvases and even whole walls. These pieces can be very striking and awe-inspiring. Western Colorado Artists will display large works of art that make a big impact.

MCA Artist Donna McMahon says, “I love large format work because to me, the viewer becomes part of the work and can truly feel the energy of the mood, the marks, and the atmosphere of the experience being shared.”

McMahon started working on large pieces of art (6’x10′) when in college. Her final project was made up of almost a dozen large charcoal figurative drawings. She says, “Funny enough, people at that time questioned if quiet little me actually did that work! I felt invigorated with a power I had never felt after I created that body of work.”
