About the Speaker

Jan Warren is an award-winning Colorado fabric artist and art quilter based in Grand Junction, on the Western Slope. Known for her rich, Southwestern-inspired fabric art and complex quilting, she is a prominent member of the Art Quilt Association of the Western Slope.

Her detailed textile work features heavily in regional exhibitions and state-wide fiber art showcases. She frequently dyes her own fabrics and incorporates intricate stitching and geometric patterns to contrast light and shadow.

Regional Recognition: Her textile pieces, such as “Green Door” (an adaptation of a Santa Fe, N.M. courtyard) and “Galactic Rain,” have been award-winners in local exhibitions including The Art Center of Western Colorado.
