Blue Moon Bench Book Signing

On Thursday, May 14th, at 6 pm, there will be a book signing at Montrose Center for Arts in Montrose, Colorado featuring local author Dawn Blanchard (using the pen name of ‘DL Blanchard’ and the owner of Meditation Spaces in downtown Montrose).  Dawn will talk about her newly released suspense novel, Blue Moon Bench. Blanchard will be reveal how being a creative and writing fiction is a process that is an adventure itself – including how the author sometimes actually ‘lives’ the story as she writes. She will also share how a famous artist encouraged and showed her how to embrace that truth.

Author

The author of Blue Moon Bench. is a Tibetan Buddhist now living the western slope of Colorado. She is a fine artist and author who lived in Arizona for over 17 years and spent many days hiking in canyons and deserts in the southwest. Blue Moon Bench is the first in a series of mystery novels based on the southwest. She loves including the mystical part of the sacred beliefs and ceremony of the native people because they are very similar to Tibetan culture and rituals which she carries in her heart.

This event will be held at the Montrose Center for Arts – 205 E. Main Street, Montrose, Colorado, from 6pm – 7:30pm. Everyone is invited. Books will be on sale and a portion of the proceeds will support the art center. The event will be aligned with a monthly summertime celebration of local creativity, community, and culture in the heart of downtown Montrose – Montrose Art Crawl!
