Ponderosa Room – Youth Invitational (Young artists up to age 18)
The MCA invites young artists to showcase their art – painting, wood and metal art, photography mixed media, digital, pottery, found art and more. We are setting no limits for the theme of this show and encourage young people to submit whatever art speaks to them.
Awards
This is a juried show. There will be a 1st and 2nd place awarded, along with two honorable mentions. 1st and 2nd place will receive a $200 and a $100 Art Hutch Award, which will allow the winners to purchase art supplies.
Finally, when the young artists drop off their artwork, we are asking them to fill out a questionnaire that will make them eligible for 5 Art Hutch Scholarships for $100, which will allow them to purchase needed art supplies.

Artwork Submission Details
Requirements – Ponderosa Room (Youth Invitational)
The Gallery Team reserves the right to jury submitted art for content and space limitations
- Young artists age 18 and under – all mediums
- All artwork should have a maximum dimension of 36″ on the long side including the frame
- Ready to hang with wire, no sawtooth hangers
- 3 entries per person
- No entry fee
- MCA retains a 30% commission on sold pieces
- Submission – visit Montrose Center for Arts and click on the Youth Invitational Event, fill in the form and submit a photo of each entry
- The Gallery Team reserves the right to jury submitted art for content and space limitations
