This class is intended for first time oil painters. You will learn to use water soluble oils, basic painting techniques and how to use different types of brushes.
Materials:
Provided: The painting, surface, and paints, paper towels and paper palette
You will be provided brushes and water container to clean brushes. Brushes suggested- #2,4,6, plus a chisel blender, #18 and a 1/4″ blender brush.
Instructor:
Margaret Kaufmann started painting after retiring from being a Realtor. Her first work was with Tole Painting. And she was hooked! After moving to Colorado and joining a painting chapter in Grand Junction, she began taking oil painting classes as well as acrylic classes. These improved her skills and gave her the confidence to start using her own photos for her artwork. Some of these has been shown at Montrose Center for Arts. Margaret continues to take classes, improving each time, and enjoys creating art through her photography and observations of nature. She is enjoying being able to share this creativity with others as she teaches.
