“I began my sculpture career in 2006 after being introduced to Daphna Russell, my mentor. In 2007 I entered my first sculpture in a local art show and won “Most Promising Artist”. Most of my sculptures are of animals, sometimes whimsical and others realistic. In 2018 I decided to widen my horizons and completed my first bronze sculpture “Wilds of Colorado”. My newest excursion was learning the art of “Cold Cast Bronze”. Mainly self-taught, I continue to attend workshops to improve my knowledge and skills.
“Working with clay brings back the kid in all of us”. A curl of the lip, tilt of the head, exaggerated features: these small touches offer a delightful whimsey. Strength, power, and action are conveyed in my realistic pieces. My goal is to reunite the viewer with the beauty and joy of nature.”
