Virginia Blackstock – Featured Artist

The Montrose Center for Arts is presenting a solo show by Virginia Blackstock, who is an award-winning, Montrose watercolorist. The April show, “The Music of My Soul,” is Blackstock’s 66th solo exhibition. Her watercolors feature luscious, bold colors, strong rhythmic design, and share her many experiences, observations and travels during her life long painting journey. Nationally renown, Blackstock holds Signature Membership in 13 state watercolor societies and her work has been included in several books and art magazines. This is definitely a don’t miss show, so plan to stop by and enjoy this beautiful watercolor exhibition. “The Music of My Soul” officially opens during First Friday, April 5th from 4:30 – 6:30 pm, and runs April 2-27. The First Friday on April 5 also features music by local pianist Amy Barger, food plus select libations. Admission is free. The MCA is located at 11 S. Park Ave and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
